ExpensAce Technologies (OPC) Private Limited (“ExpensAce,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the ExpensAce mobile application and website.
This Privacy Policy explains the personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how it is stored, and the choices available to you when you use our services.

ExpensAce is intended for individuals aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has provided personal information to us, please contact works@expensace.in so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Account information
When you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive information made available through that sign-in service, depending on your settings and the information the provider shares. This may include:
Your name.
Your email address.
Your profile picture.
An identifier used to associate your sign-in with your ExpensAce account.
Transaction information
We process the transaction information you enter or choose to submit through the app, including amounts and transaction details required to provide the features you use.
Transaction amounts may be sent to our backend to calculate totals, balances, and other numerical summaries. Information associated with your account remains account-related information even when it is used only for calculations.
Budget and goal information
We collect and store information you provide when creating and managing budgets and goals, including their names, amounts, and related progress information.
Pasted transaction messages
If you choose to use the SMS parsing feature, the message you manually paste into ExpensAce is sent to our server to extract transaction details.
The message is processed and immediately discarded without being retained. You can review and correct the extracted transaction details before saving them.
The app does not automatically read your SMS inbox or automatically collect clipboard contents for this feature.

Subscription information
We process information needed to recognise and manage your subscription, such as purchase references, subscription status, and information about the billing platform used.
Payments are handled through the payment platform identified at checkout. Information you provide directly to a payment provider is also subject to that provider’s privacy policy.
Usage, diagnostic, and advertising information
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app use, identify technical problems, and improve reliability.
These services may process information such as:
App interactions and usage events.
App version and operating-system information.
Device or installation identifiers.
Crash reports and diagnostic information.
Technical information associated with your use of the app.
We also use Google AdMob to display personalised advertising in the Free version. Advertising services may process advertising identifiers, device and interaction information, and other information described in their privacy notices.
Communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your email address, the content of your enquiry, and any supporting information you choose to send.
Please do not send banking passwords, authentication codes, or unnecessary financial documents when contacting support.
We use information to:
Create, authenticate, and maintain accounts.
Record and display transactions.
Calculate totals and financial summaries.
Provide budgets, goals, and related features.
Parse transaction messages you choose to submit.
Recognise subscriptions and provide purchased access.
Deliver reminders and service communications.
Display and measure advertising in the Free version.
Understand app use and improve usability.
Diagnose crashes and technical problems.
Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
Protect the service against misuse and security incidents.
Meet applicable legal obligations and address disputes.
We seek consent where required by applicable law and provide relevant permissions or choices through the app, device, or service settings.
The Free version of ExpensAce contains advertising provided through Google AdMob. Ads may be personalised using information processed by Google and its advertising services, subject to applicable law and available user choices.
The Pro plan does not display in-app advertising.
You may be able to manage advertising preferences and tracking permissions through your device settings and Google’s privacy controls. Available settings depend on your device, operating system, and the services you use.
Analytics and crash reporting are separate from advertising. Upgrading to Pro does not, by itself, mean that all analytics or diagnostic processing stops.
We share information where necessary to operate the service, including with:
Hosting and infrastructure providers, including Hostinger.
Google and Apple for sign-in and related account services.
Firebase for analytics and crash reporting.
Google AdMob for advertising.
Apple, Google Play, Razorpay, or another payment provider where it processes a transaction you make.
Professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
Authorities or other parties where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the service.
A provider’s role and its handling of information may depend on the service used and its terms.
ExpensAce uses on-device storage and backend processing as required by the app’s features.
Budget and goal information is stored on our servers using encryption. Our primary hosting arrangement is with Hostinger in India.
Other providers, including authentication, analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, and payment providers, may process information in locations described in their own privacy notices. Our use of hosting in India does not mean that every provider processes all information exclusively in India.
We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please protect access to your device and the Google or Apple account you use to sign in, and contact us if you suspect unauthorised use.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service and for the purposes described in this policy, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Pasted transaction messages are immediately discarded after parsing, as described above.
When an account is deleted, account information and associated records are removed from our active systems. Some information may remain for limited periods in backups, technical systems, or provider-controlled records, or where retention is required for legal, security, payment, or dispute-related purposes.
Retention in those systems depends on the relevant provider’s configuration and applicable obligations. We will provide further information in response to a privacy enquiry where appropriate.
You can request account deletion through the Profile section of the app.
If you cannot access the app, follow the instructions in the how to videos.
You may also contact works@expensace.in. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that the account belongs to you before acting on the request.
Deletion removes access to your account and its associated information, subject to the retention described in this policy. Signing in again after deletion creates a new account rather than restoring the deleted account.
Account deletion and subscription billing are separate processes. Please also review the subscription and cancellation provisions in our Terms & Conditions.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including requesting access, correction, erasure, information about processing, or resolution of a grievance.
You can contact works@expensace.in to make a request or raise a concern. We may verify your identity and will respond in accordance with applicable requirements.
Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent through the available controls or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully undertaken and may affect features that require the information concerned.
You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.
Disabling notifications may prevent reminders from reaching you but does not, by itself, delete your account or its information.
If you submit information through our website or contact channels, we use it for the purpose for which you provided it.
Waitlist email addresses are stored in Google Sheets for the launch communication and are scheduled for deletion after that communication is sent.
Third-party website features, where enabled, may process information under their own privacy notices. We will describe any deployed analytics, cookies, or embedded services and provide choices where required.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service, our practices, or applicable requirements.
We will update the date shown above and provide additional notice where required by law.
